Ask an Eye M.D. Answer Archive
Question:
My son just stated that his sight was "wonky." When I asked him to explain he says although I am sitting in front of him (four feet away) it looks like I'm farther away. Should I be worried?
Answer:
Subjective visual problems such as you describe as wonky vision seem to be fairly common complaints among children. Assuming he can see books and TV I would see what happens over the next week or so, as many of these complaints will resolve spontaneously.
