What are the possible complications of eyelid surgery?
There are many different types of eyelid surgery, each with their own unique possible risks. In general, the risks of eyelid surgery include, but are not limited to: bleeding, infection, damage to structures in or around the eye, overcorrection, undercorrection, dry eye, need for more surgery and even loss of vision. These potential complications are uncommon, especially if a procedure is performed by a qualified Eye M.D.
