Question:
I have a swollen upper eyelid, which is very droopy and sore. I was prescribed fluoxicillian and eye drops, but it's continuing to swell and getting more painful. Any other treatment options?

Answer:
You may have a cellulitis secondary to a chalazion or other infection that is not responsive to your current medications. There are also other types of inflammatory conditions that can cause soreness and eyelid droopiness. I would suggest that you consult with an Eye M.D. to help you correctly diagnose and treat your condition.
