Ask an Eye M.D. Answer Archive
Question:
After having my eyes dilated for the first time ever I was diagnosed with a raised red lesion behind one of my eyes. How concerned should I be?
Answer:
It's very difficult to answer this question as there are many possibilities here. I am guessing that the eye doctor who saw this was not too concerned as he let you out of the office without an extensive discussion. You should call him and ask what he saw; does it have a name? You could then "Google" it and see what it looks like and remember always that a second opinion is frequently helpful.
