Ask an Eye M.D. Answer Archive
Question:
I have worn glasses since grade school and I am now 62. I went to have my eyes examined and now have 20/20. How is this possible?
Answer:
Glasses are prescribed for many reasons, not all of them due to visual needs. This is unlikely over so many years. More likely this is a change in the lenses of your eye due to thickening which can reverse some degree of farsightedness. Enjoy your new outlook on the world.
