Ask an Eye M.D. Answer Archive
Question:
I see a vibration in my peripheral vision and have had this for about 10 years. It is like my vision is moving back and forth real fast on the extreme sides of vision. What is that?
Answer:
These are called phosphenes and are probably normal, for you, especially given the length of time they have been present. Do you have any other associated visual or neurological signs or symptoms when they occur? See an Eye M.D. for reassurance.
