Question:
Would Ocuvite for Adults 50+ be OK to take for someone with a mild case of Graves'?
Answer:
Yes. In fact, Ocuvite contains 55 mcg of Selenium. Selenium (recommended dose 200 mcg per day) has been demonstrated to be useful in patients with mild to moderate Graves' ophthalmopathy. Patients on selenium seemed to have a faster recovery and less worsening of their eye disease than controls.
