Question:
Is it possible to have corrective laser eye surgery if you have had surgery for a detached retina before?
Answer:
Yes, it is possible to have laser corrective surgery (LASIK and PRK) after repair of a retinal detachment in select cases. My recommendation is to be evaluated by a retina surgeon first to ensure that the retina is healthy and then proceed with the laser corrective surgery consultation.
