Question:
I recently read that there will be laser surgery available for macular degeneration soon. What do you know about this?

Answer:
Laser surgery for macular degeneration has been available for several decades and was largely replaced by photodynamic therapy, a type of "cold" laser combined with a medicine injected intravenously. That was largely replaced with anti-VEGF treatments which are the standard treatments today.
