Question:
What is juxtafoveal telangiectasia and how is it treated?
Answer:
Juxtafoveal telangiectasia is now called macular telangiectasia or Mac-Tel. The cause of Mac-Tel is unknown, but it has been associated with diabetes. Unfortunately, there is no proven treatment for Mac-Tel. Laser and intravitreal injections have been tried with limited success in some people.
