Is my eyelid supposed to be slightly over my iris?
Yes. The eyelid is typically located 1.2 millimeters below the limbus (where the cornea meets the white of the eye). You would see the position located just below the transition from the white of the eye (sclera) and the colored part of the eye (the iris).
