For a long time my parents wanted me to get married and they introduced me to this guy. He is really amazing. We get along really well. But my major concern is his eye power. He has a minus 6 in both eyes. He confessed that he is almost blind without glasses. He often tells me how scary it is when he swims. He can hardly make out if someone is a few meters away. I don't want to reject the guy just for this reason. But this has been really worrying me. My question is: is a power of minus 6 really a concern? Is this hereditary? Can LASIK eye surgery be performed in his case?
Minus 6 is moderately high but we see much more than this. He would need a complete eye exam to see what procedure would be best, but LASIK, PRK or ICL should be good for making him glasses-free.
