Question:
How quickly does a YAG capsulotomy (a procedure to remove clouding after cataract surgery) improve vision?

Answer:
A capsulotomy will usually improve vision by the next day. It takes a bit of time for the gel that is used with the contact lens to clear from the cornea, and there are often early floaters that can be bothersome. But usually by the next morning, most of my patients will notice an improvement in their vision.
