Question:
What is the frequency of medical follow-up for glaucoma after argon surgery?

Answer:
This depends upon what type of argon surgery took place. The argon laser is used in multiple glaucoma surgeries including laser trabeculoplasty, laser iridoplasty, and laser iridotomy. It also depends upon the intraocular pressure and degree of damage in the treated eye. All will factor into the frequency of surveillance necessary following treatment. There are many variables to consider. Speak with your ophthalmologist for more information.
