Question:
I am scheduled for upper eyelid and lower eyelid surgery; however, I have macular pucker (scar tissue in the back of the eye). Is my surgery safe to have?

Answer:
Yes. The eyelid surgery will neither make the macular pucker better nor worse. You may wish to discuss this with your retina doctor as well.
