Question:
What is the earliest age one might be diagnosed with wet macular degeneration?

Answer:
Typically age-related macular degeneration occurs after age 50. AMD can become wet at any time. Other types of macular degeneration caused by other etiologies can occur even in childhood, such as Stargardt's disease and they can cause "wet" macular degeneration as well.
