After working at a computer screen for an hour or more, I get double vision in each eye separately. The images are displaced vertically and they don't vary as a function of which way I'm looking. The problem passes after an hour of normal activity. What's going on?
This may be simple dryness which is common when we read, use the computer or do other near work. Try some over-the-counter artificial tears when this happens and see if it resolves the problem. If not, I would see an ophthalmologist for a complete examination.
