Ask an Eye M.D. Answer Archive
Question:
What causes colors to register differently? At times I see black as green when I first wake up. I also see a yellow/green tint over everything.
Answer:
It is difficult to say why colors "register" differently at different times. This is not a common difficulty mentioned by patients. You should see your Eye M.D. for a comprehensive exam to help determine why you are having such unusual issues. Often, medications and side effects from medications for the heart can cause color vision changes. This is a symptom that needs further investigation.
