Ask an Eye M.D. Answer Archive
Question:
I'm very worried because I just realized that I see differently with one eye than the other. I see colors darker with my right eye. Colors appear warmer with the right eye and colder with my left. Is that normal? I have a little bit of astigmatism on my right eye.
Answer:
I assume that something is acting as a "color filter" and compromising the quality of the image in one eye versus the other. This may be due to a lens opacity (cataract), but the only way to be certain is to see an ophthalmologist and have a comprehensive eye exam.
