Question:
Can a YAG capsulotomy be performed on both eyes on the same day?

Answer:
Yes, a YAG laser posterior capsulotomy (a procedure to remove left-over clouding after cataract surgery) can, and most often is, performed on both eyes on the same day assuming that both eyes require this treatment. Since the procedure in non-invasive, with no incision and no chance of infection, doing both eyes on the same day is easier for the patient. Ask your ophthalmologist (Eye MD) for more information about this.
