Question:
I had cataract surgery when I was a kid when they did not have intraocular lenses. I hate my glasses and don’t want to wear them anymore. Can an intraocular lens be implanted this many years later in life?

Answer:
Yes, but seek an ophthalmologist with significant experience in placing secondary implants and be sure that you understand the benefits and risks of surgery.
