Question:
I have a retinal hole (a small break in the back of the eye). I have known about it for 6 months and have a retinal specialist who is monitoring it. Can I travel to a city with a 6,000-foot altitude without making my hole worse?

Answer:
Traveling to a high altitude will not cause any harm to your retinal condition. You should be comfortable that your travels will not cause your retinal hole to worsen.
