Question:
I just had surgery for macular pucker, or scar tissue that forms in the back of the eye, and a small cataract (a cloudy lens). I am due to have YAG laser treatment and in a month will be going on holiday. Will I be able to swim?

Answer:
If your cataract/macular pucker surgery went well without any complications, and without knowing the specifics about your case, I would assume that you will be able to swim a month after your surgery. I might not advise scuba diving or deep snorkeling, however. I advise you to confirm this with your ophthalmologist.
