Question:
Can blepharitis cause blurriness in vision?
Answer:
Blurry vision is not usually the chief complaint in those with blepharitis. The main symptoms are crusting, burning, irritation, itching, foreign body sensation and redness. However, clear vision requires a clear cornea and healthy tear film. Blepharitis can cause problems with the tear film on the eye which can cause blurring. It can also cause secondary irritations of the cornea which can also affect vision. So the answer to your question is yes, blepharitis can also cause blurring.
