Question:
If Avastin is not working in treating BRVO, then what is the next step? Is laser treatment an option?
Answer:
There are now three FDA-approved drugs for the treatment of branch retinal vein occlusion: Ozurdex, Lucentis and Eylea. If Avastin is not working, ask your doctor about these drugs. Typically, drug therapy is more effective than laser, but laser can help some patients.
