Can you tell me what the general prognosis is for someone with atypical retinal degeneration?
Atypical retinal degeneration is a very broad diagnosis. By the nature of it being described as "atypical," it means that it is difficult to give you a general prognosis. I would explore these concerns with your retina specialist. If you are uncomfortable with the answer, you may want to request a referral for a second opinion.
