Question:
Until I have surgery for angle-closure glaucoma, what risks does airplane travel pose?

Answer:
Airline travel should pose no additional risk for developing acute angle closure glaucoma. However, if you were to have an acute angle closure attack, you would be an airline flight farther away from your ophthalmologist and emergent treatment.
