Ask an Eye M.D. Answer Archive
Question:
I had my corneal transplant some years ago - is it okay to have that eye dilated?
Answer:
It is Ok to have your eye dilated, and quite appropriate to do so. You did not provide your age or other facts about your transplant, but you should have your eyeMD dilate your eye on a regular basis. This should be done more frequently as we age because eyes tend to develop more problems as get older, and routinely after certain forms of eye surgery.
